They say you can't go home again

This saying never meant more to me than it has this year--the year of transformation. The reoccurring theme of my life the past 4 years has been constant change. Change in me, change in my surroundings, my friends, my views, and my home. They say home is where the heart is, but can't your heart be in more than one place at once? I love going back to where why I grew up, to visit the house that built me, and reuniting with the people that remind me of what I am really made of, but I recognize that that wonderful, joy inspiring place is not home anymore. My home is the one that I have created for myself and even though the proverbial roof over my head has and will change numerous times, it's more about who I am here rather than what I have or where I am located here. Its a surreal feeling, scary and exciting, like a preface to what is to come in the next few years that await.
Big things are happening, people.

Now back to the much needed road trip. Here's some snaps from this weekend.
(Bear with me, these pictures were taken on my iPhone)

I will never get tired of this glorious view of the mountains rolling behind miles and miles of farmland as I round my trip back to the boondocks.

I got to put my Urban Outfitters  cat-eye sunglasses
to good use.

Per usual I was inspired by my girl Audrey.

-They're such a steal, you can afford to get one in every style!-

I also scored some fun college graduation gifts,

Beautiful Tiffany & Co key necklace
My very first item with my new initials!
A monogrammed otter box for my iPhone 4.
There are TONS of personalized styles. You can get yours here.

and an awesome vintage looking train case while on shopping adventures with my momma.

This cool vintage train case is the first thing I've purchased for wedding decor!
I plan on sprucing it up and using it for cards.

Despite the fact that it feels more refreshing to round that final stretch leading back to Lynchburg, knowing that my love and my life anxiously awaits my arrival, it definitely feels comforting to take a trip back to where it all began, and I'll always cherish my little piece of Smalltown, USA.
